Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) company policy refers to our responsibility toward our environment and people. Our company’s existence is not lonely. It’s part of a bigger system of people, values, other organizations and nature. The social responsibility of a business is to give back to the world just as it gives to us. The policy is based on the United Nations Global Compact and is adjusted where deemed necessary to how our management communicate this policy on all levels. The policy brief is formulated with eye on the mission of Cornerstone Economics, which is “to bring social closer to business and business closer to social”.
What is corporate social responsibility?
Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) company policy outlines our efforts to give back to the world as it gives to us.
This policy applies to our company and its subsidiaries. It may also refer to suppliers and partners.
We want to be a responsible business that meets the highest standards of ethics and professionalism. Our company’s social responsibility falls under two categories: compliance and proactiveness. Compliance refers to our company’s commitment to legality and willingness to observe community values. Proactiveness is every initiative to promote human rights, help communities and protect our natural environment.

Client acquisition and relationships
As a company we will not discriminate in offering our services to different organizations or people. Regardless of their belief, color, nationality, political affiliation, religion and sexual orientation.
The denial of service is only applicable in the following circumstances (other than lack of available resources):
Where the customer’s presence is against the wellbeing, safety or welfare of our employees;
Where the customer is under investigation or in the process of a judicial court case in the public arena.
Refusal of services to direct departments of the government is applicable for employees who have a formal position part-time in a government body or institution and are not allowed by law to do so. The services might be led by other employees internally.
Prospective clients that are not adhering to or if there is a perception of unsustainable social business practices are offered a non-binding evaluation of their project that will provide our company with the proactiveness to guide the prospect in sustainable business practices, which is part of the mission of Cornerstone Economics. The prospective client must be informed of this policy.
Donations and aid. Our company may preserve a budget to make monetary donations. These donations will aim to:
Advance education and community events
Alleviate those in need (poverty related incentives)
Support environmental cause
Our company will encourage its employees to volunteer. They can volunteer through programs organized internally or externally. Our company may sponsor volunteering events from other organizations. We provide the opportunity to our employees to do a certain amount of volunteer work during working hours.
